Plain peanuts are safe in small amounts โ€” avoid salted or flavored.

Plain, dry-roasted or raw peanuts (not salted or flavored) are safe for dogs in small amounts. Peanuts are high in fat and can cause weight gain and pancreatitis with excess feeding. Never give salted peanuts or peanuts in shells. Always check for xylitol in any peanut product.
